Greg Thompson

Fiddle, Mandolin, Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitar

From Newport News, Virginia, Greg is the son of a fiddler and was classically trained in violin starting at age five. He played cello in the symphony for seven years and at age sixteen studied at the Royal College of Music in London. We are sure that you’ll agree that Greg is an excellent showman. Among the many instruments he plays are the violin, cello, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, drums, and piano. We are thrilled to welcome have him as a part of the AMT family after his 22-year run at the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach.
